LOTS OF SNOW! The kids are loving it! Over the course of a couple days we had lots of snow fall. It was the good, packing kind that is great to build snowmen. Here are some pictures of the snow adventures!

He had a great day yesterday! We had a family birthday party, so he was able to celebrate with his cousins and grandparents. Thanks everyone for celebrating with us.

Halloween

It was so nice that Halloween was on Saturday this year! Grandma and Grandpa came over for dinner and trick-or-treating fun. Their costumes were great!! We love them!

Here are the kids (minus Alex who didn't want his picture taken) with Grandpa right before trick-or-treating.

Logan changed his mind at the last minute and didn't want to be Scooby Doo. He wanted to be Darth Vader. Grandpa let him wear his costume. He actually wore the mask to some of the houses. Then, it was just too hard to run with it on!

I got one of Alex. He wasn't pleased and he didn't even wear his hat!

They all had a great time. Hannah went with her 2 friends who were witches as well. She trick-or-treated for nearly 2 hours. That is the longest she has ever gone! Jacob didn't last too long. Logan didn't want to stop and Alex eventually got the hang of it after about 10 houses. It was so cute to see them running up the door, saying "trick or treat" and then thank you, of course. Then running to the next house while trying to eat the candy they just got! It was lots of fun!

I love October! These first few pictures are of the monthly birthday party at Grandma and Grandpa's house. There are 4! Ella is 1, Caleb turned 5, mine (???), and my dad turned 60 this year! I loved my lemon pie!!!!!

Summer Recap 4--FAMILY TIME!

Well, this is a long one--sorry--sit back and relax!

We had an Easter egg hunt at grandma's and grandpa's house. Aunt Lindsay and Calvin were there. Everyone had a great time.

This year for our family vacation, we decided to stay closer to home. It was great fun. First, we stayed the night at Grandma's house in Kaysville. The kids wanted to sleep out in a tent. Grandma's house is perfect for that. Then we went to the air show at Hill Air Force Base. Logan had the best time I think! He wanted to get into EVERY airplane. It was a nice day and we had a good time.

Next, we headed to the cabin and rented an ATV. Once again, I think Logan loved it the most. He got to go on rides around the fire pit. He was in heaven. Everyone had a great time. Unfortunately the weather did not cooperate. It rained for the next month, I think! UGGH--it put a damper on the rest of our trip.

At the last minute, we decided to go down to Gilbert, Arizona for Mason's baby blessing. It was a short trip, but lots of fun! It was great to see Lindsay, Russell, Calvin, Heather, Max, and Ezra. Grandma and Grandpa were there too!

The last part of our "family vacation" was a trip to Lagoon. It was fun to got with Aunt Heather, Max, and Ezra. If you notice, Logan wanted and did ride on just about everthing he could. Alex, on the other hand, was much more cautious. He has the same face in every picture--except the cars--which he absolutely loved. It was great that there weren't very many people at Lagoon that day--he drove them over and over and over.....

We went to the Oquirrh Mountain Temple open house. We are in front of the picture that my brother painted for the temple. He did a fabulous job--he is so talented!!!

Yeah--I'm done with the summer! It was really fun and jampacked with activities! Well, it's snowing right this minute and now I can't wait until summer again! HAHA!

Summer Recap 3--Hannah

Hannah finished out her 3rd grade year at school. She did a great job and learned so much! Her summer was filled with family trips (coming next!) and SOFTBALL! This was the first year Hannah played and she had a great time! It was also great fun watching her. She had 2 games each week for 2 months. Her team was the Diamondbacks. She played right field, 3rd and 2nd base. She was always 1st in the line-up for batting! Here are some snapshots of her playing.

Her team won 1st place in the city tournament!!! Yeah! Jacob was very impressed that she got such a BIG trophy!

With the 1st place win at the city level, her team went on the the state tournament. What an adventure! Her team had 3 games the 1st day and 2 the 2nd day. They ended up with 3rd place. We are proud of her and her team!

Hannah also had some great late night parties with her friends. This one commemorated the Disney Channel movie "Princess Protection Program". She and her two friends spent a week preparing a dance, banners, streamers, matching clothes and loads of fun! If I can figure out the video of the dance, I'll post it.

Hannah's softball team had a party celebrating their great season. It was right before school started. It was a home of one of the players. They had horses for rides. We had a great time. However, Logan had the BEST time! He absolutely loved riding the horses. They were just his size and he didn't want to ever get off!

Summer Recap 2--Jacob's turn

Jacob finished up a great Kindergarten school year. He had a wonderful teacher and became quite a good reader. One of his last events was an animal report. He had to memorize 5 facts, dress up, and stand in a museum. The teacher had stickers as buttons and when people came by, they would pusht the button and he would tell them a fact about his animal. He chose a gorilla. It was quite a challenge to figure out a costume, but we did it. Here is our little gorilla!

We were so proud of him during his Kindergarten program. He loves to sing, so he did a fabulous job and the program was so cute!

Jacob's summer was filled with sports. He wanted to do it all. Despite all the running around to practices and games, I was glad to have him active and be outside. He started with soccer. This was his 3rd season. This year his age group got to use a goalie. That was Jacob's favorite position! He stopped lots of goals!

The next sport was T-ball. It was especially great because Rich was the coach. Jacob loved having his dad as his coach. They both did a fantastic job! They were the Reds! Hahaha!

Finally, he is playing flag football. He still has one more game next week. He was most excited about last week when he grabbed the final flag to end the game. Way to go Jacob! He's in the red shorts!

We are so proud of Jacob. He had a fun, full summer and loved every minute of it.

First Day of School

Well, the summer is over and so is my blogging vacation. (Sorry--5 months is a long time!) Hannah started 4th grade today. Her teacher is Mr. Ferre. They have laptops in their classroom for the students. I thinks it's going to be really great! She has some good friends in her class that should make the year great as well.

Jacob is in 1st grade. His teacher is Mrs. Geddes. She seems very nice and I know he'll have a great year! He is very excited to eat school lunch.

Alex was so excited to go to school as well. Unfortunately, he didn't realize he couldn't ride the bus with the kids. He was very upset!

March 25th was the boys 2nd birthday. I can't believe how fast the time has gone. They are so fun. They are trying to talk and are getting to be quite independent. I love them!!

Yes, it has been a considerable amount of time since I last updated my blog. I wish I could say I did something fabulous with the time, but no. The time just quickly flew by doing the things we all do everyday.

Hannah and Rich had a great birthday. It was nice to have our families down to celebrate. It is really hard to believe that Hannah is 9 now. She is growing up way too fast for me. We love her so much. The first picture is of her cake that Grandma made for her. Next is her flower cake (yes--it was easy!) Rich just wanted a pie.

The next few pictures are just fun ones of my silly kids. The boys are always wanting to wear hats, socks, aprons, anything! They are getting big!!!

The next picture is of my project the last few days. My craft corner was EXTREMELY MESSY! I tried to keep it organized, but I just didn't have the space. So, Rich devised a great plan. Thanks to Ikea and my husband, my space is very organized. It makes my room actually look bigger without all of the clutter. There are some before and after pictures. (Embarrassing, I know!!)

Well, I thought I better post our Christmas before Hannah and Rich's birthday. So it has to be today because their birthdays are tomorrow! We had a fabulous Christmas. We enjoyed being with our families--visits from Aunt Heather, Max, and Ezra (we miss Uncle Ephraim), Aunt Lindsay, Uncle Russell, and Calvin, Aunt Becky, Uncle Steve, and their kids.

The first pictures are of Christmas Eve at my parents. The nativity program. We have 3 of the shepherds here: Calvin, Max and Jacob. Max later became Buzz Lightyear and protected the baby Jesus with his laser guns on his arms.

Well, we got some snow...just a little! It really snowed ALL day yesterday. The kids loved it, me--not so much--I had to shovel! I really need to learn how to use the snow blower. Merry Christmas everyone!

Hannah had her very first piano recital on the 18th. She played "Up on the Housetop". She was very nervous (can you tell in the picture?!), but did a fantastic job. We are proud of her! She is doing so well.

These first pictures are of the annual Thayne Family Christmas party in Pleasant Grove. I think this is the first year Hannah actually sat on Santa's lap. Everyone always gets an orange as well-compliments of Great Grandma Thayne.

Logan wasn't too thrilled. He's wearing a blinking necklace he won in the bingo game!

I think it's funny that Alex is giving him a very interesting look. He isn't too sure about the red-suited guy. He does know how to say Santa, however!

Our home teachers gave the kids a candy cane. Logan loved his a little too much! I even had to clean the back side of his head! He did eat the whole thing!

For FHE we decorated a gingerbread house. The pieces were all pre-made, which made the decorating much more enjoyable!

There seemed to be a lot more eating than decorating!!!!

Thanksgiving was great! We were so happy to see Uncle Ephraim, Aunt Heather, Max, and Ezra. We have missed them so much and glad to have seen Ephraim before he leaves for a year! We ate Thanksgiving at Grandma and Grandpa's house. The food was great, as usual, and we had a wonderful time. We have so much to be grateful for!

Our Jacob is now six. What a great day we had! His birthday started last week with a cake from Grandma!

It continued all week with cards in the mail, outings with Grandma and fun days at school being the VIP. It took a lot of effort to convince him he wasn't six until today!!! Today started with his favorite breakfast--cold cereal--HoneyNut Cheerios. Then there were presents!!! (One of his favorite parts!)
Hannah made him a special birthday hat from the tissue paper. He's thrilled--can't you tell!

Then lots of playing with his new stuff. Next, we were off to Chuck E. Cheese. He loved it. Grandma and Grandpa stopped in for a bit and everyone had a good time and got LOTS of tickets for prizes!

(Sorry about the fuzzy picture--he was still in motion on the ride!)

We ended with a birthday dinner--foil dinners from the fire pit--Jacob loves the fire pit--and a great cake decorated by Hannah. Usually I bake a fancy cake of their choice, and believe it or not, this was his choice--a square cake with Happy Birthday Jacob written on it. He is easy to please!!!

We love you Jacob and are glad you had a great birthday!!!

Primary Program

Our Primary Program was last Sunday. It was extra special because Hannah was asked to give a talk about when we went to Bountiful Temple to have Jacob sealed to us. She was very nervous, but had been practicing for a while. She did a fantastic job talking in front of a VERY large audience. She has become so confident lately. We are so proud of her. Jacob also had a part that he memorized and did so well. We loved the singing and we love our kids!!!

Well, be prepared for lots of pictures. We had a fabulous time. The kids love it--even the babies got to ride on lots of things! We were so grateful that Grandma Lillie could come with us. She was a big help, but we hope she had a good time as well! The weather was perfect, the Parks were not very crowded and we can't wait to go back...someday!!

We left on Sunday, the 19th. The kids really liked the airplane. We thought they would be REALLY interested in looking out the window, however, we soon discovered that the glare from the window interrupted their TV watching, so the window stayed closed most of the trip. Oh well, at least they were occupied!

When we arrived, we went to the beach. Here is Balboa Island. We walked out on the pier before spending time in the water.

Well we're off to California tomorrow. The kids are WAAAAYYYYY!!!!! (emphasis on way!) excited to ride on an airplane and to go to Disneyland. It worked well to wait to tell them until last week. It was such a surprise!!! They haven't stopped talking about it since. So, in my efforts to get ready, I needed to clear the camera. Here are a few pictures of the things that we've been up to for the past couple of weeks. PS...not much!

Memorable Day!

Yesterday, Sunday, the 21st, was the 1st day of Nursery for the babies! YEAH!!! We have been looking forward to this day for quite some time now. As predicted, Logan went right in and started playing. Alex, on the other hand, was not pleased with all the strangers and cried for the first 10 minutes. He finally started playing, but when it was time to clean up...the crying started again. He needed his diaper changed, so they brought him to me. Of course, he wasn't thrilled when I started to take him back. Rich finally took him back and he stayed. It's nice to have little windows in the door. I checked to see Logan and Alex coloring at the table and then having their snack. We're going to have to work on drinking out of Dixie cups! (Too squishable!!!) Anyways, needless to say, he was more than excited to see me at the end of the meeting, but waved goodbye to his teachers--with a small tear in his eye. Logan loved it. Alex will love it soon! AAAHHH...another milestone!

We had our annual trip to the State Fair on the 8th. We love to go on Mondays because they have the All-You-Can Eat Ice Cream tent. Yummy!!!! We always have tons of fun, eat lots of good things, and see many stinky animals. Great fun!!! Enjoy the pictures!

Bird Adventure

Last Sunday, we were heading out of the garage and a hummingbird flew in. The funny thing was, it couldn't figure out how to get back out. Our garage is quite tall and it kept flying up above the opened garage door. We spent 30 minutes trying to figure out how to get it out. We eventually gave up and had to leave. So, we closed the garage door. When we returned, it took almost another 30 minutes getting it out. We tried just about everything. Hannah kept trying to lure it down with flowers and leaves. At one point she even had a picture of a flower, hoping that would entice the bird to come down!! We ended up using a broom--one that looked like sticks or nest maybe. It took a few times, but we eventually lured it onto the end of the broom and helped it to the garage door opening. It was the most amazing thing to see how fast the wings moved. It stopped many times on different things that were hanging from the garage ceiling. A few times we could even see it's tiny tongue. I did get some pictures of it when it stopped to rest. The kids thought it was so cool!!! What an interesting adventure!

Last Days of Summer Fun

Well our summer has come to an end. We ended with a bang! On Friday, August 15th, our patio was poured! YEAH!!!! We've waited a few weeks for this and are glad it's done. The kids thought it was the best thing to sit and watch. Can you tell we don't have TV at our house!?!?!

On Saturday we headed off to Lagoon for the Stampin' Up! Employee party. We had a great time. The weather was nice, but not too hot. We started with the water rides, the Log Flume, Rattlesnake Rapids, and Lagoona Beach.

The rest of the day was spent having fun on the rides!

Well, it seems that the summer is nearly over and it has been forever since I've posted. We've been busy, busy, busy! Here are some of the things we have been doing the past month or so!

It only took me 4 months AFTER the boys turned 1 to get their year pictures. Unfortunately, they did not cooperate. They didn't smile and would not sit still. But, I got the disk and still think they are so cute!! Here a few of them and a few others I took myself. They are getting so big and funny. They love to play together and are constantly laughing! They also are such kind boys, especially Logan. He is constantly giving hugs and kisses to everyone.

Pioneer Day --- 24th of July

We went with our friends to the Thanksgiving Point Children's Garden. The kids had a great time playing in the water.

The boys have a favorite thing now---climbing into and onto everything!

We got a new trampoline for the kids. They love it! Here's Emily, Kelsey, and Hannah having a great time!

Here's Calvin playing with the boys before he moved to Arizona. They had such a great time! We will miss him and also Aunt Lindsay and Uncle Russell. However, we are very excited for Uncle Russell to start learning to become a doctor. He'll be a great one! Good luck and we love you!!

We had an eventful May, which is probably why it went by so quickly. School is now over and it's time for summer to begin. Here are a few things that we did this past month. (I'm going to attempt to add some videos...I hope it works!) Also, this is quite long, so SORRY!

Mother's Day

I had a great day. Here's a picture of all my kids. The babies look really big in this picture. They are growing up way too fast.

It was a nice day...Richard had to speak in church and did a wonderful job. I got a couple of games and nice Spa/Lunch day with my mom and sisters the day before.

Here's a picture of Hannah and Jacob playing Ladderball...one of the games I got from Hannah! It is quite fun.

Hannah's Gymnastics Meet

Hannah had a gymnastics meet. Each girl rotated to all four events---beam, vault, bars, and floor. She did a great job. Here's a picture of her on the bars and I also tried putting a video of her on the bars as well. I think that it is her best event!

Jacob's Preschool Graduation

The next day, Jacob graduated from preschool. Here he is in his cap and gown. They had quite a program.

For the progam, each student read a book and sang a solo. Jacob's book was Happy Birthday Clifford, and he sang Penelope Pig. Here's the video of it!

Later that evening, Hannah had her 2nd grade Patriotic Program. She did a great job. Here's a picture of her as a firefighter in the song, Forty Hours a Week. She said it was awfully heavy!!

Memorial Day (Weekend)

On Saturday, we headed up to Bountiful for a great lunch at El Matador and a visit to Grandma and Grandpa Martineau's graves.

On Sunday, we headed down to Pleasant Grove to visit Great Grandma and Grandpa Thayne's graves.

We couldn't resist taking a picture in front of Grandma and Grandpa Thayne's new headstone. It was kind of hard to explain since the kids thought they were in England on a mission! HEHEHE!!! Someone even left some artificial flowers on top. They must have felt bad that nothing else was there.

On Monday, we went over to Grandpa Cory's and Grandma Lillie's for a BBQ. The weather was not too good, but we barbequed anyways!

Last, but certainly not least, I must have some fun baby pictures. Here's Alex. He and Logan LOVE the pan cupboard. We found him sitting in this small round one the other day.

Spring Break Family Vacation

For spring break this year we decided to take a trip to San Diego. It was great fun! We decided to drive down. It was a long drive, but we made it. The first day we took a tour of the USS Midway Aircraft Carrier. It was so cool! The kids loved it. After, Rich took Hannah and Jacob, with cousin Ryan, to a San Diego Padres baseball game. It just so happened that this game lasted a whopping 22 innings. Needless to say, they didn't stay the whole time--only until the 13th inning. Then we went to Sea World. We saw Shamu, sharks, penguins, and the kids even got to feed and touch the dolphins and manta rays. It was a beautiful day and lots of fun. It was also fun to be there with Ryan and Lindsey and their family. Our beach day was Saturday. Unfortunately this was the only day that was overcast and a bit chilly/windy of our whole trip. Hannah and Jacob still had fun in the water and made some sand castles. We ended up going back to our hotel and swimming in the pool. The babies did great and I know everyone had a nice, much needed break! Sit back and relax. Here are some great pictures of our trip. PS--there are lots!!!!

WOW!! I can hardly believe that a whole year has gone by since my boys were born. It has been a whirlwind. My boys are growing and getting bigger every day. They are constantly amazing me at how much they are learning. Alex has started walking and there is no stopping him. He loves his new-found freedom. He still seems too small to walk to me, but he is getting to be a big boy. Logan is taking a few steps at a time, and I'm sure it will only be a matter of weeks before he is running around with Alex. He is definitely the more vocal of the two, but is also the more calm. They both LOVE books--especially ones with moving pieces or flaps to lift. They also love music. They are both finally feeling better after both having tubes put in their ears. It was all over before their birthday, thank goodness! I'm so blessed to have healthy and happy kids! Happy birthday my sweet boys! Now if I can just get them to say MAMA...!!!!

It wasn't the best day for mom's creativity. The block cakes I made them for the earlier party (see below) turned out much better!

Logan was NOT fond of his cake. In fact, he took handfuls of the chocolate frosting and threw them on the floor. Alex, on the other hand, really liked the marshmallow eyes.

I can't believe how fast the months are going. I thought I was keeping up and before I knew it, here it is March!!! Here are some great pictures of the kids last month.

We went and spent a weekend at Grandma Perkins' house in Kaysville. There was so much snow there. The kids had a wonderful time playing in it.

February 2, 2008 was a great day! It was the day that Hannah was baptized. She had been waiting for this day for a LONG time. As she is with most things, way excited until right before then, REALLY nervous. However, she was brave and had a wonderful day. I love how she said that the best part was the warm feeling she got. I hope that she always remembers this day and that feeling. We are so proud of her.

It's so great that Hannah was born on Richard's birthday. It makes it easy for him to remember and we all just love to celebrate. Here are some great shots from the festivities. Dad's new BBQ Grill. I got many weird looks from the store employees when I bought this. I guess not too many people buy them in January! It was pretty tricky getting it home. Jacob and I had to build a ramp to get it up the stairs from the garage to the house. Needless to say it is still sitting in our living room. With all the snow lately, we just can't find a good place to put it!

Hannah had a Hawaiian friend birthday party on Friday, the 11th. She invited 11 girls over for the festivities. It will take me that long to recover from both Jacob's and Hannah's this year!!!

The boys are 9 months old now. They are a whopping 14 lbs. and 14 ounces. However, Alex is nearly an inch taller than Logan. They are learning new things everyday. Logan's best thing is saying DADADADA all the time. He has also started to scoot forward more. He can certainly get around a lot better than before (just rolling).

Christmas Day was fabulous. A great time was had by everyone. The kids didn't wake up too early--7:30! It was so fun with the babies. I'm not sure if they quite knew what was going on, but they are always smiley!

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve began at Aunt Kris and Uncle Gordon's house. We enjoyed a great lunch and great family fun. Grandma and Grandpa Thayne called from England and talked to everyone. They sent all the grandkids original poppers. The kids enjoyed them because they sounded like firecrackers when they opened. They were filled with jokes and paper hats. This is a funny story. I was wearing the backpack first with Alex. I had to start fixing dinner. The boys are in a very clinging phase and don't enjoy being put down. So, in order for me to do anything with my hands, I must put on the backpack. They love it and I can get something done. When Rich got home, it was his turn!

You'd think that Logan was getting a tooth. Alas, just lots of drool!!!

This year we went to see the lights at Temple Square. We picked a horribly cold day to go, but we had fun. We rode the Trax train downtown with Grandma and Grandpa, Aunt Heather and Max. Lindsay, Russell and Calvin met up with us later. I am always amazed at how they can get that many lights on one tree. It is beautiful. It was a great way for us to get into the Christmas spirit.

Here are the kids before Thanksgiving. We are ready for church!

The day before Thanksgiving, we went to get our family pictures taken. Here we are!

We waited a week after Thanksgiving to put our Christmas tree up. Thanksgiving seemed to be much earlier in the month this year and I just couldn't put the tree up that soon. So, on December 1st it went up. Hannah and Jacob are SOOOOOO excited for Christmas. It will be so fun this year with our new boys.

I always love taking pictures of the boys. They are growing! They are 8 months old and sitting up so well on their own. Alex is almost crawling and Logan is not that far behind. They are really starting to interact with each other when they play. Here are some fun pictures of them. Enjoy!

Logan likes to do funny things with his face and lips. He has such big blue eyes and dark brown hair! I love his chubby cheeks!

I love Alex's hair. It is quite fluffy and sticks out. Here he is after he just woke up from a nap. His hair is doing some crazy things, especially on the side. He is so fun!

Hannah thinks it is so funny to make to babies look silly and then take their pictures. Here she put Logan's pants on his head like a hat. They let her do it now, but I'm sure that won't last!!

Jacob's Birthday

Jacob's birthday was November 15th. He turned 5 years old. He had a wonderful couple of days worth of celebrating. It started with a birthday dinner at Grandma Lillie's.

Next was a party with the family on his birthday. We went to Winger's for his free birthday meal and back home for presents! He looks so handsome here with his new birthday clothes!

He was so excited to get his presents. Everything was "just what he always wanted!!" He loved his Hot Wheels Spin City Track.

The next day was his belt test in karate. He has earned his yellow belt. Here he is an official karate pose and his yellow belt. We are proud of Jacob for doing so well!

And to end the festivities, the next day Jacob had his friend party. He had 8 friends come. Between the pinata, presents, treats and cake, a good time was had by all. He wanted a race car party. The boys loved getting a Hot Wheels car to race on a track to Rich built in the garage. The day was exhausting, but Jacob had a wonderful day!

We're Back!!

We really didn't go anywhere, I was just a bit lazy and behind in my posting. However, I do wish that I was in Hawaii right now!!!

Our lives seem to be in a slow, repeating pattern...school, work, eat, sleep, repeat. We did have a few "different" days with Grandma and Grandpa Thayne going on their mission, dentist appointments (yes, more than one), super Saturdays (just one thank Heavens!), and Halloween (bring on the candy!). So, I am looking forward to the upcoming holidays. This time of year always brings some excitement and spontaneity.

We are excited that Aunt Heather and Max are coming for a visit. They'll be here right before Jacob's 5th birthday. He is most excited to have a friend party this year!!

It is our family tradition to attend the Utah State Fair. Rich and I went to the state fair for our very first date--11 years ago. We loved it then and still love it now!! We have gone every year, except 1, since then. We love the food, the activities, and the animals. This year we came on the day of the big tractor pull. Loud, but the kids thought it was great! A fabulous time was had by all!

They love peas, sweet potatoes, and peaches. They are trying to drink out of sippy cups, but they haven't quite mastered that yet. They can pretty much get where they want to go by scooting on their tummies and rolling. They are both so fun. It is so great to see them learning new things and changing so much. We love our babies!!!

Alex made his way in to my closet and began eating my shoes. Logan just found one closer to him--dad's slipper.

Hannah had to do an oral report in class on a Historical Figure. She chose Sacagawea. Here she is in her class. Doesn't she look great--just like Sacagawea! I am proud of Hannah!!

I've been tagged by my friend, Jana (a true blogger!). I'm sure she is trying to get me to write more. Apparently, in blog lingo, that means that I need to write 7 things about myself. Then I'm supposed to tag 7 other people to do the same. I'm not sure that I know 7 other blogging friends--especially since 2 have already done this same thing. So, here goes the info.--most of you probably already know this stuff!

1. I worked at Fiesta Texas one summer and had to wear a green leiderhosen with a red checked shirt everyday.

2. I met my husband, Rich, on a blind date set up by his mother.

3. Ever since I did my country report on Ireland in the 5th grade, I've wanted to go there on a trip.

4. One of my biggest pet peeves is when couples wear matching shirts in their wedding announcements.

5. I love the beach and warm weather!!!

6. Sesame chicken is my favorite food.

7. I love to organize things. My house may not reflect this, but if I had the time, everything would have a place and everything would be in place! SOMEDAY!

Halloween!

I must admit that Halloween is not my favorite holiday of the year. My friend, Jana, has some pretty funny cartoons about Halloween that I've been enjoying. I could do without all the candy and dressing up, but I know my kids love it!! They love everything about it that is not scary!! There is one thing that I do, however, enjoy about Halloween--it is the carving of the pumpkins. This year, we decided to forgo the mess and draw faces this year. It took much less time, but the jack-o-lanterns turned out great. We even got some pretty good pictures of it!!!

Halloween night was great fun! We had Grandma Lillie, Aunt Lindsay, Uncle Russell, and Calvin over for dinner and trick or treating! Hannah, of course, was a beautiful princess. Jacob had to be a Power Ranger. Alex was a monkey and Logan was a puppy. Rich was a Rock star/biker/pirate (long story!). Uncle Russell was a cowboy with a really cool belt buckle. Aunt Lindsay was a doctor with a real stethoscope (COOOL!!!) and Calvin was a cute monkey. As for Grandma Lillie and myself--we were expert candy-passer-outers! A great time was had by all!

Well, it has been awhile since I've posted. The time is sure flying by! In order to "catch up", I'm posting pictures of the boys, Hannah and Jacob. I found out that I need to take more pictures. They are changing so fast and learning new things all the time. The boys are nearly 6 months old. It's hard to believe that they are growing up so fast. They are rolling all over and are anxious to start eating at the table with us. One fantastic thing is that they are sleeping almost 10 hours every night!! YEAH for the babies and YEAH for mom (I get to sleep, too!)

Hannah started the 2nd grade this year at Harvest Elementary School. I can't believe that she is old enough for that. She is becoming a really good reader and is doing quite well with all of the new things she is learning. She was happy to find out that a few of her friends from last year are in her class. Her teacher's name is Mrs. Richards. Her classroom is in a portable. An interesting thing about her teacher is that she has 13 children. Now that's a lot of kids!!! Here she is on the first day of school.Hannah is playing on a soccer team this fall. They are half-way through the season. This is the first time she has played soccer. She is doing quite well. She has both boys and girls on her team. One great thing about Hannah is she is the only girl that has scored a goal on her team. She plays on a full-sized field. so she runs A LOT!!! She likes it and will probably play again in the spring. Here she is with Jacob before their first game.

It has been nearly a year and a half since Hannah lost her two bottom teeth. So finally, her top teeth have come out. Each within a week of each other. She is proud to say she pulled it out herself. Here she is with the first tooth gone.
The second tooth has an interesting story. It was extremely loose on a Friday night. She had been working on it all day long. Of course she didn't want anyone to touch it but her. That night she went to bed. The next morning she came in and announced that her tooth was gone... literally. She had woken up and found that it was missing. She searched her bed, the floor, everywhere, but couldn't find it. We decided that maybe she had swallowed it during the night. She also told us that she had dreamt that she had pulled it out. Maybe it wasn't a dream after all. That night she wrote the tooth fairy a note and explained that indeed her tooth was gone, but she couldn't find it to put it under her pillow and she hoped that the tooth fairy would understand. Of course she did and Hannah was happy about that. The funny thing was when we moved Hannah's furniture around a few weeks later, we found her tooth between her bed and the wall. She was thrilled. She was hoping to put it back under her pillow that night in hopes of "fooling" the tooth fairy. We explained that she probably would know that it was the "missing" tooth and probably wouldn't leave anything this time. She agreed and needless to say, she still wanted to leave the tooth so the tooth fairy could take it. Here's a picture of her now with her toothless grin!

Jacob has started preschool. He goes 3 days week and he loves it. His teacher's name is Mrs. Hentish and he is in the Moonbeam Classroom. Each of the rooms are decorated in some cool way. He likes his because it has the solar system on the wall and his name was written on a rocket. He is learning a lot and his teacher says that he is quite a good artist. I'm so proud of him for being so good and wanting to learn. He is a good boy. Here he is on his first day of school.

Jacob is also playing soccer this year. He is getting to be quite good. He also scored a goal and in his very first game! He plays on a smaller field and also has boys and girls on his team. He is on a 3-pre-K team and he stands almost a head taller than the rest of the kids. He is going to be a tall one!! He is learning a lot about playing on a team and cheering them on. It's fun to watch to little kids play. They are so fun to watch. There is a lot of falling to the ground, sitting on the ball, and moms and dads helping! They sure do have lots of fun playing!! Jacob had a small accident at Aunt Lyndy's house involving a door. He got a huge goose egg on his forehead. He had such a hard time keeping an icepack on it that we decided to strap it to his head. He looked very funny, but it worked! (He is just fine now in case anyone was wondering!)

We had a great trip to the cabin with Lyndy and Shawn's family, and Lindsay and Russell's family. We missed Grandma, Grandpa, Heather, Ephraim, and Max! The kids played outside until they were tired and we all relaxed, playing games and having fun!

Seven Peaks

Hannah read over 600 minutes in the month of March and earned a free pass to Seven Peaks in Provo. It was the start of our family vacation. Her friend Savanna was there also!
